After months of trial and error, I finally managed to integrate my SmartThings setup with Wemo light switches! The journey wasn’t smooth, but the result is seamless control across both ecosystems. Here’s how I did it:

  1. Apps Used: I relied on SmartThings, Tasker, Sharptools, and WemoManager. These apps worked together to bridge the gap between SmartThings and Wemo.

  2. Setup Steps:

    • Removed Wemo switches from SmartThings.
    • Created virtual On/Off buttons in SmartThings IDE.
    • Authorized Sharptools to interact with SmartThings devices.
    • Configured WemoManager for precise control.
    • Set up Tasker to handle intents and automate responses.

  3. Outcome: Now, I have 9 Wemo switches flawlessly integrated with SmartThings. The only minor hiccup is a slight lag in 3-way switch setups, but it’s negligible.

  4. Tips: If you’re attempting this, patience is key. Test each switch individually before moving on to more complex setups.
