Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with SmartThings connectivity issues. It started a few weeks ago when my SmartThings app suddenly stopped connecting to my hubs. I have two houses, and everything was working perfectly until then. The app would take minutes to connect, and my phone would eventually go to sleep, which was really frustrating.I tried the usual troubleshooting steps: rebooting the hub, removing the hub from favorites, logging out and back in. But nothing worked. I even considered deleting the app and reinstalling it, which was really concerning. I reached out to Samsung support, but the response wasn’t very helpful. I was starting to think I might have to switch to a different platform, which was really disheartening. Then, I stumbled upon a forum post where someone suggested checking the hub’s firmware. I updated the firmware, and to my surprise, the connection issues started to resolve. It wasn’t a perfect fix, but it significantly improved the situation. I also realized that my Wi-Fi network might have been causing some interference, so I moved the hubs to a more central location. Here are a few tips I learned from this experience:- Regularly check for firmware updates for your hubs.- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is stable and not overloaded.- If you’re using multiple hubs, try to distribute them evenly to avoid overloading one network.I’m really glad I didn’t give up on SmartThings. It’s a fantastic platform, and with a little troubleshooting, it’s back to working smoothly for me. I hope this helps someone else who’s facing similar issues. Let me know if you have any questions or if you’ve found other solutions that worked for you!
