Hello SmartThings enthusiasts! I’m excited to share my experience with automating my new Samsung VRF AC system using the SmartThings app. The setup was a breeze thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi module, and I’ve been able to control each unit individually, adjust temperatures, and even turn off the main unit using IFTTT. However, I’m looking to take this integration a step further.
My Goal: When I leave my home and manually set the HE status to AWAY, I want the system to automatically turn off the AC main unit. I’ve tried a few IFTTT recipes, but I’m not quite there yet. Has anyone successfully integrated their AC system with HE for similar automation? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
