Earlier this week, we had an unexpected visitor—a bat! While it’s common this time of year, dealing with it was quite the challenge. After hours of trying to coax it out, we finally managed to catch it.
I called the wildlife commission to arrange for them to pick it up for testing. However, they needed it immediately, and I was 30 minutes away from home with a full workday ahead.
That’s when SmartThings came to the rescue! Using my iPad, I quickly locked the interior garage door to secure the house and opened the garage door for the wildlife officer. This seamless process allowed everything to happen smoothly, and the bat was picked up without any delays.
