As a long-time user of OpenHAB, I’ve always been impressed by its flexibility and the variety of bindings available. Recently, however, I encountered a puzzling issue with the SmartWeather Binding for my Tempest weather station. The humidity channel stopped updating and now shows UNDEF, while all other channels are working perfectly. No changes were made to this specific channel, so it’s a bit perplexing.
I’ve done several updates of OpenHAB, so I wonder if something went wrong during one of those updates. Here’s my item definition for reference:
Number:Dimensionless SmartWeatherHub_Humidity “Humidity [%.1f %% rH]” (Group_Weatherstation) { channel=“weatherflowsmartweather:tempest:HB-00041084:ST-00023261:humidity” }
I’ve tried restarting the binding and even reconfiguring it, but the issue persists. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
On a lighter note, I’ve also been exploring ways to integrate more devices into my setup. For example, I recently added some Govee LED strips and was amazed by how easy it was to control them through the app. It’s been a fun project, and I’m looking forward to expanding my smart home ecosystem even further. If anyone has tips or tricks for integrating multiple brands, I’d love to hear them!
