I recently upgraded my phone and noticed that my Govee app wasn’t monitoring temperature and humidity changes properly. It was a bit frustrating because I rely on these readings to maintain optimal conditions in my home.
After a bit of research, I found that Android 10 has stricter location permissions, which were causing the issue. I went into my phone’s settings, navigated to Govee Home, and adjusted the location permissions to “Allow all the time.” This small change made a big difference! Now, the app works perfectly, and I even get alerts when the temperature or humidity goes beyond my set thresholds.
I want to emphasize that Govee Home doesn’t collect or share location data, so adjusting these settings is safe and necessary for functionality. It’s always a relief to find a simple solution to what initially seemed like a bigger problem.
