Solving HmIP-Froll Rolladensteuerung Issues with CCU2

Hello everyone, I’ve been dealing with an interesting issue with my HmIP-Froll rolladensteuerung devices. After installing them in my home, I noticed that when I manually lower them using the wall switch, they only go down about 80% of the way. This is a bit frustrating, especially since I rely on them to block out the sun during the day.

When I tried to raise them manually in the evening, they wouldn’t go all the way up either—usually stopping around 5%. It was quite perplexing. I even tried multiple up and down cycles, but the problem persisted. The only workaround I found was to completely lower them through the WebUI, which then allowed them to fully raise again.

I experimented with adjusting the duration settings for the opening and closing processes, but that didn’t seem to help. The issue would always resurface after some time. I’m curious if anyone else has encountered this behavior and if there’s a more permanent fix.

I’ve heard that sometimes firmware updates can resolve such quirks, so I’m planning to check if there’s an update available for my CCU2. In the meantime, I’m also looking into whether there are any advanced settings or configurations I might have missed.

It’s a bit of a puzzle, but I’m optimistic that there’s a solution out there. If anyone has any insights or tips, I’d greatly appreciate it! Let’s keep the discussion going and help each other troubleshoot these smart home devices.
