Solving Input Number Leading Zero Issue

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with configuring input numbers in Home Assistant. I was setting up an automation to turn off lights after a certain number of minutes, but I ran into a formatting issue. The input number didn’t include a leading zero for single-digit values, which caused the time display to show incorrectly, like 00:0xx:00 instead of 00:xx:00. After some research and trial and error, I found a solution by adjusting the template in my configuration. I added a conditional formatting to ensure that single-digit numbers are displayed with a leading zero. This not only fixed the time display but also made the automation notifications more consistent. Here’s a quick tip for anyone facing a similar issue: Use a template with conditional formatting to handle single-digit values. For example: yaml value_template: > {% if value < 10 %} 0{{ value }} {% else %} {{ value }} {% endif %} This small adjustment made a big difference in how my automation works. It’s amazing how a little tweak can solve a problem that initially seemed tricky. If anyone has questions or needs help with similar configurations, feel free to reach out!
