After experiencing persistent problems with my motion sensors disconnecting and not responding accurately, I decided to dig deeper into the issue. The sensors would often stay active even when no motion was detected, which was both frustrating and disruptive to my smart home setup.
After some research and troubleshooting, I discovered that the issue was related to the internal moldings within the sensor’s outer case. Specifically, two of these moldings were too long and were causing the battery to dislodge from its connectors. This not only affected the sensor’s functionality but also led to inconsistent readings.
To resolve this, I carefully removed the outer case of the sensor and trimmed the extra-long moldings down to match the length of the others. This simple adjustment ensured that the battery remained securely in place, eliminating the disconnection issues and improving the sensor’s reliability.
