Solving Sensor Issues and Enhancing Smart Home Integration

I recently encountered an issue with my Neigungs- und Erschütterungssensor, which wasn’t detecting movements as expected. After some troubleshooting, I realized the sensor needed recalibration. This experience made me think about the importance of regular maintenance for smart home devices.

While working on this, I also decided to optimize my Z-Wave network. I moved my controller server and attempted a network heal, but faced ‘Failed’ messages. I discovered that resetting the network settings on my Smart-UPS 1500 and ensuring all devices were on the same channel resolved most issues.

Another challenge I faced was with my Wyze plugs after changing my Wi-Fi router’s name. Some plugs wouldn’t connect, but I found that resetting them and using the Wyze app’s advanced settings helped.

These experiences highlight the need for patience and thorough troubleshooting when integrating smart devices. I’m now more confident in handling minor issues and optimizing my smart home setup for better performance.
