Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Go Control Door Sensors. I recently purchased a set, and I was a bit puzzled when I encountered an issue right out of the box. When I inserted the battery, the light remained on, and it wouldn’t let me pair it with my Wink hub. At first, I was a bit frustrated, but I decided to troubleshoot step by step.First, I checked the battery to ensure it was seated correctly. Sometimes, a loose battery can cause unexpected behavior. Once I confirmed the battery was properly inserted, I moved on to the next step. I tried resetting the sensor by removing the battery for about 30 seconds and then reinserting it. Unfortunately, this didn’t resolve the issue.Next, I thought about the pairing process. I made sure the Wink hub was in range and that there were no obstructions. I also checked if the hub was in pairing mode. Everything seemed to be in order, but the sensor still wouldn’t pair. After some research online, I came across a helpful tip. It suggested that the sensor’s light staying on might indicate that it was already paired with another hub. To fix this, I needed to unpair it from any existing connections. I did this by holding down the button on the sensor until the light flashed rapidly, indicating it was unpaired. Then, I tried the pairing process again, and this time, it worked perfectly!I wanted to share this solution with the community in case others are facing the same issue. It’s a bit of a hassle, but with a little patience and the right steps, it can be resolved. I’m now up and running with my door sensors, and they’re working great! If anyone else is having trouble with their Go Control Door Sensors, I hope this helps. Happy smart home tinkering!
