After setting up my smart home ecosystem, I’ve been enjoying the seamless integration of various devices. However, I’ve encountered a puzzling issue with my Zigbee network, particularly with my IKEA Somrig button and Philips Hue tap dial switch. These devices work flawlessly upon initial setup but start experiencing connectivity problems after a few hours.
The devices are only 2 meters away from my HP23 hub, so distance shouldn’t be an issue. I’ve tried adjusting the Zigbee and Wi-Fi channels, reinstalling apps, resetting the devices, and even rebooting the hub. Despite these efforts, the problem persists, though the Hue switch performs slightly better than the Somrig button.
Interestingly, when I use an old Smartwares 433MHz remote, everything works perfectly. This inconsistency is frustrating, especially since my network isn’t overloaded—only five Sonoff thermometers and a few other devices are connected. I’m considering adding a Zigbee router, but I’m hesitant since my network is relatively small.
Has anyone else faced similar challenges with Zigbee connectivity? Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated! Let’s collaborate to troubleshoot this and ensure a more reliable smart home experience for all. ![]()
