Sonoff T2 as RF Bridge: A Creative Solution for Home Automation

I’ve been exploring ways to enhance my home automation setup and stumbled upon an interesting idea. I have several Sonoff T2 wall switches installed throughout my house, all flashed with Tasmota and connected to Wi-Fi. These switches also have a built-in 433.92 MHz RF chip, which I haven’t been utilizing since they’re Wi-Fi connected. This got me thinking: could these wall switches serve as an alternative to my Sonoff RF Bridge, which has been missing some 433 MHz signals from my door and window sensors due to distance issues?

The idea is to have the Sonoff T2 switches listen for 433 MHz commands, convert them to MQTT messages, and pass them on to Home Assistant for processing. This could not only solve my current problem but also open up new possibilities for integrating other RF devices.

I’m curious to hear from the community if anyone has successfully used Sonoff T2 switches in this manner. Any insights, tips, or potential challenges would be greatly appreciated! :rocket:
