Sonoff ZBMINI-L Setup Tips and Tricks

Hi everyone! I’m really excited to share my experience with the Sonoff ZBMINI-L smart switch. After some research, I decided to give these units a try, especially since they don’t require a neutral wire—something that’s super convenient for my home setup.

I started by wiring one up on my desk, using an old extension cord as a test. The installation was straightforward, and I was impressed by how easily it paired with my Zigbee network. I had to switch the device to a generic Zigbee switch profile, but once that was done, it worked like a charm, even with the small load of an LED bulb.

One thing I noticed is the design of the terminal cover. While it’s a good safety feature, it’s almost impossible to remove without risking damage. I managed to get it off, but it was a bit frustrating. If anyone has a tip on how to make this easier, I’d love to hear it!

I also tested the switch with a motion sensor, and it worked perfectly. The ability to control the switch via the sensor is a huge plus for energy efficiency. Overall, I’m really happy with how these switches are performing. They’re reliable, easy to set up, and perfect for my needs.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly smart switch without the need for a neutral wire, I’d definitely recommend giving the Sonoff ZBMINI-L a try. Let me know if you have any questions or tips to share—I’m always happy to help! :rocket:
