Spooky Smart Home Halloween Tips and Tricks!
As the Halloween season approaches, why not turn up the spooky factor with your smart home setup? I’ve been experimenting with some fun and easy ways to make my home Halloween-ready using my smart devices. Here’s what I’ve discovered!
1. Halloween-Themed Lighting:
I recently upgraded to the latest Govee Home app, and the new features are amazing! The Workshop function in the Light Studio has allowed me to create custom lighting effects perfect for Halloween. I’ve designed a pulsating orange and black effect that really sets the mood. You can find more ideas in the weekly theme activities too! 
2. Motion-Activated Spooks:
Using my IP cameras and ImperiHome, I’ve set up a motion-activated scene where lights flash and music plays when motion is detected. It’s a fun way to scare guests or just add some Halloween ambiance. If you’re looking to transition your cameras out of Vera, ImperiHome is a great alternative!
3. Smart Pumpkins:
I’ve also been playing around with smart plugs to power my Jack-o’-lanterns. Using my Shelly 1PM, I can turn them on and off remotely or set them to follow a schedule. It’s a simple but effective way to add some Halloween magic to my porch!
