Spotify to Sonos Integration: A Smooth Transition

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation, and I’m absolutely thrilled with how much I’ve been able to streamline my daily routines. One of my latest projects has been trying to integrate my Spotify music with my Sonos system. The idea is simple yet powerful: as soon as I walk into my house, I want my Sonos speakers to seamlessly pick up where my car’s Spotify left off. It’s all about creating a seamless audio experience throughout my day!

I stumbled upon this challenge when I realized that the Spotify component in my automation setup didn’t have an option to select Sonos as the target source. After some digging, I found that this integration isn’t as straightforward as I hoped. Has anyone here successfully set up a similar automation? I’d love to hear about your experiences or any workarounds you’ve discovered!

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with different ways to visualize my home’s energy consumption and temperature data. I’ve been using Datamine to log all sorts of metrics, but I’m running into an issue with graphing. Specifically, I’m trying to plot both the target and actual temperatures of my thermostat on the same graph. The problem is that each metric gets its own Y-axis, which makes it hard to compare them visually. I tried tweaking the units configuration, but it didn’t make a difference. Any tips on how to synchronize the Y-axes or adjust the scaling would be incredibly helpful!

Lastly, I wanted to share a fun project I’ve been working on. I’ve managed to set up a custom weather card using a combination of animated icons and real-time data. It’s been a great way to keep an eye on the weather without switching apps. If anyone is interested, I’d be happy to walk through the steps I took to get it working!

Looking forward to hearing from the community and learning from your experiences. Let’s keep the ideas flowing!
