Spring is the perfect time to refresh your smart home setup!
I’ve been experimenting with integrating new devices and optimizing my existing setup, and I’d love to share some tips and tricks that might help others.
First, I’ve been working on connecting older Google WiFi units to my new Google Pro 6E router. It’s been a bit of a challenge, but I found that using a gigabit switch and ensuring proper wiring made all the difference. If you’re looking to extend your network coverage, this setup works seamlessly!
Another thing I’ve been exploring is automating my heating system with OpenHAB. It’s been a learning curve, but setting up load compensation based on radiator valve feedback has really improved efficiency. I’d love to hear from others who have tackled similar projects!
I also wanted to mention the Govee crossword update—so fun to see new features rolling out! If you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s a great way to engage with the community while enjoying your smart devices.
Lastly, I’d like to ask the community—how do you handle unexpected firmware updates that change your app’s layout? I recently lost some virtual switches and had to recreate them from scratch. Any tips on managing these changes more smoothly would be appreciated!
Let’s keep the conversation going—share your spring smart home projects and tips below!
