Spring is finally here, and I’m thrilled to share my recent success with setting up a smart sprinkler system! 
After some research, I decided to go with Hunter sprinklers and valves, but there was a catch—they run on 24V AC. At first, I thought I’d need a whole setup of relays and transformers, which felt a bit overwhelming. But then I stumbled upon a smarter solution: using a Shelly 2.5 to control the valves directly. What a game-changer!Here’s how I made it work:- Connected the Shelly 2.5 to the 24V valve system- Configured it through the Shelly app- Integrated it seamlessly with my OpenHAB setupThe best part? No extra relays or transformers needed!

Plus, if you’re using MQTT, setting up the integration is a breeze.
