Springtime Smart Home Setup: A Blend of Automation and Ambiance

.Spring has officially arrived, and with it comes the perfect opportunity to refresh my smart home setup. This year, I’ve been focusing on creating a seamless blend of automation and ambiance, using a variety of devices to enhance my daily life.\One of my favorite projects has been transforming my backyard into a smart entertainment space. I’ve been using Govee permanent outdoor lights to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The adhesive worked beautifully on my brick wall, and the RGBWW strip lights add a touch of magic to the evenings. I’ve paired these with Shelly switches to control everything from the comfort of my smartphone.\I’ve also been experimenting with Wyze cameras to monitor my garden. While I love the video quality, I was disappointed to find that the app doesn’t support Picture-in-Picture on my iPhone. However, I discovered that using Home Assistant automations allows me to keep an eye on my garden while still enjoying my favorite apps.\Another highlight has been integrating my Eufy security system with my smart lights. It’s reassuring to know that if the cameras detect motion, the lights will automatically activate, providing both security and peace of mind.\I’ve also been exploring the Nuki door opener. It’s been a great addition, especially with the ring suppression feature. I love how it opens the door automatically when someone rings the bell, but I was initially frustrated that it didn’t work when I activated the ring suppression. After some research, I found that it’s a known issue, and I’m hopeful that a fix will be rolled out soon.\For those of you looking to upgrade your smart home setup, I’d recommend starting with a few key devices and gradually expanding. It’s been fascinating to see how each addition enhances my home’s functionality. Whether it’s the Govee lights adding a touch of elegance or the Shelly switches simplifying control, every device has its place.\If you have any tips or experiences to share, I’d love to hear them! Let’s make this spring the smartest one yet. :tulip:
