Spruce Irrigation System Installation Experience

I recently got my hands on the Spruce Irrigation Controller, and I must say, the installation process was a bit of a challenge at first. I was expecting a straightforward setup, but the lack of detailed videos and minimal instructions made me a bit nervous. However, after spending some time with it, I realized it wasn’t as complicated as I feared. It reminded me a lot of wiring an HVAC controller, which I’ve done before, but there were still some nuances to figure out.

I decided to document my experience in a video, just in case someone else was struggling with the same issues. While I can’t share the video here, I can walk you through the key steps I took. First, I made sure to carefully read the manual and understand the wiring diagram. Then, I took my time connecting each component, double-checking each connection to ensure everything was secure. I also found it helpful to test each zone individually before moving on to the next one.

One tip I’d like to share is to label all your wires before you start connecting them. It might seem tedious, but it saves a lot of time and confusion later on. Additionally, I recommend testing the system thoroughly after installation. I did a quick run-through of each zone to make sure everything was working as expected, and it gave me peace of mind knowing that the system was up and running smoothly.

Overall, I’m really happy with how the installation turned out. It’s been a great addition to my smart home setup, and I love how it integrates with my other devices. If anyone has questions or needs advice, feel free to reach out! I’d be happy to help.
