I’m really excited about the potential to integrate my SteelSeries setup with OpenHAB. I’ve been using SteelSeries devices for a while now, including the Apex Pro keyboard, Aerox 3 wireless mouse, and the QCK Prism mousepad. All of these devices have RGB capabilities and are linked through the SteelSeries GG engine, which allows for some really cool customization.
I’ve noticed that SteelSeries has a developer portal that makes it possible to create apps that integrate with other platforms, like Discord. This made me wonder if it’s possible to create something similar for OpenHAB. For example, it would be awesome if the RGB lighting on my keyboard, mousepad, and mouse could sync with my Digital RGB Strips whenever something happens in a game, or if my keyboard could display the temperature from a sensor in my room.
I’ve already taken a look at the SteelSeries developer portal and it seems like there are a lot of possibilities. I’m just not sure where to start. Has anyone else tried something like this before? I’d love to hear if anyone has experience or advice on how to approach this project. Whether it’s about coding, using existing bindings, or even just figuring out how to communicate between OpenHAB and SteelSeries devices, any help would be greatly appreciated!
I think this could be a really cool way to make my home automation setup even more integrated and visually appealing. Thanks in advance for any insights or suggestions!
