It all started when I decided to upgrade my lighting setup, and Govee’s range of smart bulbs and switches seemed like the perfect fit. For instance, I can now say, ‘Alexa, goodnight,’ and all my lights turn off, my thermostat adjusts, and my security system arms itself. It’s incredibly convenient!I also wanted to share a tip for anyone looking to integrate their Govee devices with Alexa. Make sure to update your Govee app and Alexa app to the latest versions, as new features and bug fixes are regularly added. Additionally, checking the Govee compatibility list before purchasing any new devices can save you a lot of time and frustration.Another thing I found helpful was using Alexa’s smart home skill to create custom scenes. For example, I have a ‘Reading Mode’ that dims the lights and turns on a specific lamp, creating the perfect ambiance for reading. It’s these little touches that really make your home feel smart.I’m also excited about the new Govee products I’ve been seeing, like the smart plugs and motion sensors.
