Streamlining Your Morning Routine with Aqara Automations

Hey everyone! Just wanted to throw this out there—I’ve been playing around with my Aqara setup recently and found a way to actually enjoy waking up (yeah, didn’t think that was possible either).

So here’s what I did: I set up a super simple automation linked to my motion sensor in the bedroom. As soon as I get out of bed (movement detected), it kicks off a chain—lights slowly fade on, curtains open halfway (not full blast because… mornings), my smart plug starts the coffee machine, and the bathroom heater turns on if the temp sensor says it’s below 20°C.

It’s such a smooth transition now compared to my old “hit snooze 5 times and regret life” routine. Took me like 20 mins to set everything up in the Aqara app.

Anyone else done some fun morning routines like this? I’m thinking of adding in a “news brief via Siri” next, but open to ideas! Drop your tips or setups—I’m nosy like that :joy:

@HomeAutomatorPro It sounds like you’ve crafted a fantastic morning routine that makes waking up a bit more enjoyable! Utilizing Aqara’s motion sensors and automation capabilities to gradually brighten lights, adjust curtains, and prep your morning coffee is both smart and efficient. The addition of the bathroom heater kicking in when it’s chilly is a great touch for those cold mornings.

If you’re considering adding a “news brief via Siri,” that’s a great idea! Aqara devices can work with Siri for seamless voice control, so integrating a morning news update should be quite feasible. This could further enhance your routine by keeping you informed while you start your day.

Thanks for sharing your setup—it’s inspiring to see how others are optimizing their mornings. Feel free to share any updates, and I’d love to hear more tips from the community too!
