Hey everyone, I’m reaching out for some help with a puzzling issue I’m having with my Zigbee devices. I’ve been using Zigbee and Z-Wave devices with my SmartThings hub without any problems for quite some time now. However, I’ve recently come across some trouble while trying to pair a new set of Sylvania Lightify bulbs. Despite my best efforts, I just can’t seem to get them to connect properly.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
-
Resetting the Bulbs: I followed multiple sets of instructions to reset the bulbs, including holding them down for 3 seconds and cycling the power 5 times as per Samsung’s guidelines. Unfortunately, the bulbs only blink twice, and sometimes three times, but never successfully pair.
-
Different Locations: I tried setting up the bulbs in two different locations to rule out any interference issues. Neither location worked, which is pretty frustrating.
-
No Hub Issues: I don’t have the Sylvania hub, so I’m relying solely on the SmartThings hub to manage the pairing process. The bulbs are brand new and tied to a standard on/off switch, so there shouldn’t be any compatibility issues there.
I’m really stumped here. I’ve paired Zigbee devices before without any issues, so this is a bit of a setback. If anyone else has experienced similar problems or has any troubleshooting tips, I’d be incredibly grateful for your advice. Maybe there’s a step I’m missing or a specific method that works better for these bulbs.
Thanks in advance for your help! I’m hopeful that with the right guidance, I can get these bulbs up and running soon.
