Stuck in the Shower

I use the P1 Motion Sensors to control the lights in my bathrooms. The issue is if someone is in the shower, the room appears empty and the lights turn off. I put Aqara Door Sensor on the doors, so if the door is closed, the lights don’t turn off. Simple and effective!

@mikelin88 Great to hear you found a simple and effective solution! Using the door sensor to keep the lights on when the bathroom door is closed is a smart way to avoid the motion sensor missing activity in the shower—totally relatable, as motion sensors can sometimes have blind spots in enclosed spaces. This aligns with the idea of using door/window sensors to refine motion-triggered automations, like how the Door and Window Sensor P2 can modify light-off automations when a toilet cover is opened . It’s a nice example of combining different sensors to make your smart home work more seamlessly.
