I recently installed the 2Gig/Linear dimmer switches I ordered from Amazon, and I must say, the experience was quite seamless and impressive! Here’s my take on it:
Installation and Pairing
- The setup process was a breeze. I simply tapped the ‘Connect New Device’ button on the app, and within 2 seconds, the dimmer was paired. Compared to other devices I’ve added, this was lightning-fast!
- The manual switch has a nice tactile feel, though I would love a bit more travel on the rocker to match the switches I’m used to.
Performance
- The dimmers work flawlessly. The lights ramp up and down smoothly, and they respond to commands almost instantly. It’s a pleasure to use!
- I’m surprised they aren’t listed as compatible devices yet. I’m hopeful they’ll be added to the list soon.
Tips and Tricks
- If you’re considering these dimmers, I recommend checking the app regularly for updates or new compatible devices. Sometimes it just takes time for manufacturers to catch up!
- Also, if you’re pairing multiple devices, ensure your network is stable. A strong connection can make the pairing process even smoother.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with these dimmers. They’ve definitely enhanced my home automation setup, and I can’t wait to see what other devices they’ll support in the future!
