Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with the Govee H6172 LED strips as part of my house renovation project. I’ve been looking for a reliable, customizable, and affordable LED solution for my home, and after some research, I decided to go with the Govee H6172 10m LED strips. I installed 10 of them around my house, and I must say, the results are stunning!
Installation Process
I installed the strips using recessed aluminum LED profiles and inspection boxes. To minimize the ‘dot’ effect, I mounted the strips upside down with plastic hooks. I also glued them in multiple spots along the profiles, avoiding areas with LEDs to ensure proper cooling. The strips are now linked to my local Home Assistant server, making them easily accessible for customization from anywhere.
Performance and Satisfaction
I’m thrilled with how well the strips perform. Even at 1% power, they provide ample light, which is impressive considering they’re installed upside down. The lack of physical buttons is a minor inconvenience, but I’m working on making their customization and control more user-friendly for my wife.
