Successful Integration of Arlo Essential Gen 2 Outside the USA

Hello fellow Arlo enthusiasts! I wanted to share my experience with integrating the Arlo Essential Gen 2 camera in Brazil after purchasing it in the USA. Initially, I faced the same issue as many others— the Arlo app didn’t recognize the Gen 2 camera due to regional settings. However, I found a simple workaround that might help others in similar situations.

The solution involved creating a new Arlo account using the US region. Here’s how I did it:

  1. Create a New Account: I went to the Arlo Community Site and selected “Create a new account”. It was crucial to choose the US region during this process.
  2. Log In with New Credentials: After creating the account, I logged into the Arlo app using these new credentials. The Gen 2 camera was now recognized without any issues!
