Successful Integration of Eve and Calex Devices in Homey Pro

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience integrating some new devices into my Homey Pro setup. I’ve been using Homey Pro for a while now, and it’s been a fantastic hub for my smart home ecosystem. However, I recently ran into some challenges while trying to add a few new devices: the Eve Light Strip, Eve Energy Strip, and Calex LED bulb. I thought I’d document my journey in case others are facing similar issues or looking for solutions.

First off, I’ll admit I was a bit stumped when I couldn’t get these devices to connect through the Homey app. I did the usual troubleshooting—checking the Homey support site, forums, and even Google. For the Eve devices, it seemed like the Eve Home app was the go-to suggestion, but that didn’t solve the issue within Homey Pro. Similarly, the Calex bulb required one of the Tuya apps, but that also didn’t bridge the gap into Homey Pro.

After several days of trial and error, I decided to reach out to the community for help. It turns out, I wasn’t alone in this predicament! A fellow forum member suggested using a third-party integration tool that acts as a bridge between Homey and these devices. After some research, I found a solution that worked seamlessly. It was a bit of a workaround, but it got the job done!

Now, I’m thrilled to say that all three devices are up and running smoothly in my Homey setup. The Eve Light Strip adds a beautiful ambiance to my living room, the Eve Energy Strip is perfect for monitoring my energy usage, and the Calex LED bulb has become a reliable addition to my smart lighting system. It’s amazing how these devices can enhance the functionality and comfort of my home.

For anyone else struggling with similar integration issues, I’d recommend exploring third-party solutions or reaching out to the community for advice. Sometimes, a fresh perspective or a different approach can make all the difference. Happy automating, everyone!
