Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with integrating Homey and Google Assistant. It’s been a fantastic journey so far, but I’ve hit a snag that I’m hoping you can help me with.
I successfully set up my main account to trigger flows via Google Assistant, and it works like a charm! The flow is favorited in Homey, and I’ve linked it in Google Routines. However, my wife, who has her own accounts on both Homey and Google, is encountering issues. When she tries to trigger the same flow, Google says it can’t connect to Homey. The flow is in her favorites, and the routine is correctly set up in Google Home.
Interestingly, when she says “Hey Google, ask Homey {name of the flow},” it does work. But the direct command doesn’t. I’ve also tried having her sync all devices, which works for me but not for her. Google Home tells her only the account that set up the connections can sync.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I’d love to get this working smoothly for both of us. Thanks in advance for your help!
