Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent success in integrating the Inovelli Blue Series 2-1 Switch with my Homey Pro 2023 hub. As a new user to the Homey ecosystem, I was pleasantly surprised by how seamless this process was, despite initial concerns about compatibility.
For those who might not be familiar, the Inovelli Blue Series 2-1 Switch is a versatile Zigbee-enabled device that can function as either a dimmer or an on/off switch. While I primarily tested it as an on/off switch, its flexibility makes it a great option for various lighting setups.
I decided to give this a try after reading some mixed reviews about its support within Homey. To my delight, the setup was straightforward: I simply added it as a generic Zigbee switch through the Homey app, and it was recognized and configured without any issues. The switch operates smoothly, responding instantly to commands from the app or through voice control with my Amazon Echo devices.
One feature I particularly appreciate is the ability to customize scenes and routines around this switch. For example, I’ve set it up to turn on my hallway lights when I ask Alexa to “good night,” which adds a nice touch of automation to my evening routine.
However, I do understand that there are limitations, especially regarding the LED indicators on the switch itself, which aren’t currently supported through Homey. While this isn’t a deal-breaker for me, it’s something to keep in mind if you’re considering purchasing this device.
I hope this post encourages others who might be hesitant about the Inovelli Blue Series 2-1 Switch to give it a try. It’s a reliable and easy-to-integrate option for anyone looking to expand their smart home setup without breaking the bank. Happy automating!
