Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home integration and wanted to share my recent success and a question I have. ![]()
Over the past few months, I’ve managed to integrate devices from several brands into my smart home setup. It’s been a fantastic journey, especially seeing how seamlessly everything works together. For instance, my Govee sensors have been a lifesaver, detecting leaks early and preventing potential damage. They’re incredibly sensitive—I even tested it by licking my finger and touching the sensor, and it went off immediately! ![]()
However, as I expand my setup, I’m looking for ways to streamline my automations. I currently have a Vera 2 hub along with some Wink devices, and I’m curious about the best practices for managing multiple hubs. Specifically, can I use the Wink hub as a secondary controller for my Z-Wave thermostat without affecting the primary Vera setup? I’d love to control the thermostat via Wink while keeping Vera’s climate scenes intact. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
Additionally, I’ve been exploring the Frigate add-on for Home Assistant and accidentally deleted it from my sidebar. After reinstalling, it still doesn’t show up. If anyone has encountered this and knows a fix, I’d be thankful for the help! ![]()
Looking forward to hearing your experiences and tips. Let’s keep the smart home community thriving! ![]()
