Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my recent success in integrating NUE Zigbee switches into my smart home setup using Homey. After some research and trial and error, I managed to get everything working smoothly!
Initially, I was a bit hesitant because I heard conflicting reports about compatibility with different controllers. However, after reaching out to the community and doing some digging, I found that while NUE switches are officially supported by the Philips Hue bridge, they can also work with Homey with a few tweaks.
Here’s what I did:
-
Preparation: I purchased the NUE Smart Zigbee Wall Switches from Lectory. They looked promising, but I wasn’t sure about the Homey integration.
-
Setup: I started by resetting the switches to ensure they were in pairing mode. Then, I used the Homey app to search for new devices. The switches were detected almost immediately!
-
Configuration: Once paired, I configured the switches through the Homey app. I set up scenes and routines to control my lights, and I must say, the experience has been seamless.
-
Tips: If you’re planning to do this, make sure your Zigbee network is stable. Also, keep the switches within range of your Homey hub during the initial setup.
This integration has really enhanced my smart home experience. I can now control my lights with the flick of a switch or through voice commands. It’s incredibly satisfying to see everything work together so harmoniously!
A huge thank you to the community for the support and advice. If anyone has questions or needs help with similar setups, feel free to reach out!
Cheers,
