After months of research and planning, I finally took the plunge and installed a Nuki Smart Lock on my front door. Pairing it with my existing Shelly switches has been a game-changer for my smart home setup! 
My Setup Journey
I started by setting up the Nuki app on my iPhone, which was surprisingly straightforward. The initial setup for the Smart Lock 3 (Pro) went smoothly, thanks to the latest app updates mentioned in the release notes. I was impressed by how the app guided me through each step, from pairing the lock to setting up user permissions.
Next, I integrated my Shelly switches into the system. The compatibility between Nuki and Shelly devices has been seamless. I can now control my front door lock using the Shelly switches, which are scattered throughout my house. This has made my daily routine much more convenient—no more fumbling for my keys!
A Few Tips for Others
- Firmware Updates: Always ensure your devices are running the latest firmware. I noticed a significant improvement in reliability after updating my Nuki lock and Shelly switches.
- User Permissions: The Nuki app allows granular control over user permissions, which is great for sharing access with family or guests. I especially appreciate the ability to set time-based access for visitors.
