Successful Integration of Shelly 1L with Neutral Conductor

I recently installed a Shelly 1L switch in my home, following the guide provided in the user manual. Initially, I faced some issues with the switch not functioning correctly when toggled from both switches. However, after some research and troubleshooting, I discovered that adding a bypass capacitor resolved the issue. Here’s my experience:

  1. Installation: I followed the diagram provided, ensuring the neutral conductor was correctly connected to the Shelly 1L. This was crucial as it allowed the switch to function without a bypass.

  2. Initial Problem: When toggling the switch from both ends, the lights would dim slightly before turning off completely. This was perplexing as the firmware was up-to-date, and the setup seemed correct.

  3. Solution: After some online research, I found that adding a bypass capacitor across the load terminals resolved the issue. This small modification ensured smooth operation from both switches.

  4. Outcome: The Shelly 1L now works flawlessly, providing a seamless user experience. It’s been a great addition to my smart home setup!

I’d love to hear about others’ experiences with the Shelly 1L and any tips they might have for optimizing its performance. Happy smart home building everyone! :rocket:
