I recently embarked on a project to integrate Shelly devices into my smart home ecosystem, and I’m thrilled to share my experience! 
Starting with the Shelly 1, I wanted to control my e-Bike’s power supply via Wi-Fi. After some research and experimentation, I found that placing the Shelly 1 near the battery allowed me to remotely switch the power on and off. This was a game-changer for managing my e-Bike’s charging schedule without physically interacting with it!
Next, I tackled the Shelly 2.5, aiming to automate my bathroom’s window blinds. The IQ2 motor from Benthin was already in place, so I needed to figure out how to connect the Shelly without disrupting the existing setup. After consulting forums and testing different configurations, I managed to wire the Shelly between the motor and the switch, enabling seamless automation. Now, my blinds open automatically in the morning and close at sunset—perfect!
One challenge I faced was ensuring consistent communication between the Shelly devices and my hub. I discovered that placing the devices within 10 feet of each other significantly improved signal strength. This small adjustment made a huge difference in reliability.
