I’ve been on a journey to integrate a smart doorbell and camera system into my home, and I’m thrilled to share my experience! 
Initially, I faced challenges with configuring the doorbell, Marcel Zuidwijk’s model, to work seamlessly with my KOCH TC50 doorbell. After some trial and error with wiring, I realized the importance of a clean SSID without special characters for the aqara FP2 sensor. This small tweak made a world of difference!
For the camera system, I upgraded to the OG camera, which offers continuous recording. However, I noticed the recorded files were significantly larger than expected. Through research and testing, I discovered that adjusting the encoder settings helped optimize file sizes without compromising video quality.
Here’s a quick tip for anyone setting up a similar system: ensure your SSIDs are simple and free of special characters to avoid connectivity issues. Also, regularly check and update firmware to resolve unexpected bugs.
