I recently set up the weatheralerts custom integration from HACS and successfully programmed Home Assistant to use Google Translate Say for reading weather alerts. It’s been a fantastic experience, though there was a minor hiccup to overcome. Initially, I noticed that if there were no weather alerts for certain sensors, Google would say “None”, which was a bit annoying. After some research and trial, I figured out how to modify the code to skip reading alerts 2-5 if their ‘spoken_title’ attribute was ‘None’. This tweak made the system much smoother and more user-friendly. I’m really grateful to SlackerLabs for his tutorial, which was instrumental in getting this set up. It’s amazing how integrating different tools can enhance our smart home experience! ![]()
