Hi everyone! I wanted to share my recent success in integrating a variety of Zigbee devices into my smart home setup. After some research and trial and error, I managed to get everything working smoothly. Here’s a quick overview of what I’ve set up:
- Zigbee Coordinator: I’m using the Conbee II stick with Home Assistant. It’s been a reliable choice for my setup.
- Devices Integrated: I’ve added several devices including Ikea bulbs, Sonoff zbmini switches, and a few sensors. The coordinator has been handling them all without any issues so far.
One of the challenges I faced was automating my lighting system based on specific time frames. I wanted my lights to turn on at 20:00 only between November 1st and December 31st. After some research, I figured out a way to do this using templates in my automation rules. It was a bit tricky, but I managed to get it working!
I’d love to hear if anyone has tips on optimizing this further or if there are more efficient ways to handle date-based automations. Also, if anyone has experience with integrating multiple brands seamlessly, I’d appreciate any advice or best practices you might have.
It’s always great to see how others approach similar projects. Happy automating everyone! ![]()
