Begin with a few key devices like smart bulbs or plugs, and once you’re comfortable, move on to more complex integrations like dimmers or sensors. It’s also worth investing time in learning the basics of your home automation platform, whether it’s Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, or something else. Familiarizing yourself with automations and scenes can save a lot of frustration down the line.
