Successful Integration of Zigbee Devices with ConBee III

Recently, I completed setting up my Zigbee network using the ConBee III and deCONZ, and I wanted to share my experience. I’ve been working on integrating several Zigbee devices, including smart relays and motion sensors, and it’s been a learning journey.

Initially, I faced some challenges with device recognition and data transmission. For instance, one of my Zigbee relays was detected as a lamp instead of a switch. After some research, I discovered that adjusting the device properties in deCONZ helped resolve the issue. Now, the device appears correctly in Phoscon, and most functionalities are working as expected.

I also encountered an issue where not all device values were being passed to Home Assistant. This was a bit frustrating, but after tweaking the configuration and ensuring proper pairing, the problem was mitigated. It’s amazing how a well-configured Zigbee network can seamlessly integrate with HA, making the smart home experience much smoother.

If anyone is struggling with similar issues, I’d recommend checking the device properties and ensuring all firmware updates are applied. Happy integrating! :rocket:
