Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience migrating my garage system from a Raspberry Pi to a NUC using RaspberryMatic. I’ve been using Raspberry Pi for a while now, but I thought it was time to upgrade to something more powerful and reliable. Both systems had the latest software installed, so I figured the transition would be smooth. I created a backup on the Raspberry Pi and restored it on the NUC, but things didn’t go as planned initially. When I moved the HM Stick to the NUC, I couldn’t see any devices in RaspberryMatic, and I kept getting the error message: ‘Interface RaspberryMatic-BidCos-RF bzw. HmIP-RF nicht erreichbar.’ I tried everything—rebooting the NUC, checking the USB ports, even using a 2.0 extension cable on a 3.0 port. Strangely, when I plugged the HM Stick back into the Raspberry Pi, everything worked perfectly. So, it wasn’t a faulty stick after all. After some research and trial and error, I realized the issue was with the USB port configuration on the NUC. I switched to a different USB port, and voilà! Everything started working again. It was a bit stressful, but it taught me the importance of checking hardware configurations thoroughly. I’m now enjoying the benefits of the NUC’s performance and stability. If anyone else is planning a similar migration, I’d recommend double-checking USB port settings and ensuring all drivers are up to date. Happy tinkering! ![]()
