Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience migrating from VeraLite to Home Remote. While the process was mostly smooth, I encountered a few hurdles, particularly with my temperature sensors. Initially, they appeared in the device list but didn’t display any temperature readings. After some research, I realized the issue was with the device binding settings. Vera uses ‘CurrentTemperature’, while Home Remote expects ‘Temperature’. By adjusting the bindings and using custom variables, I managed to get the temperature data flowing into my dashboard. It was a bit of trial and error, but the satisfaction of seeing everything work seamlessly was worth it! I also created a custom dashboard to visualize the temperature data, which has been incredibly helpful for monitoring my home’s climate. If anyone else is going through a similar migration or facing temperature sensor issues, I’d be happy to share my setup details.
