Recently, I successfully configured my Shelly devices to manage the bathroom lighting and fan, and I wanted to share my experience with the community. After some research and experimentation, I set up a system where the lights dim up when the bathroom door opens, and the fan turns on after 15 seconds if the door is closed. This setup not only enhances convenience but also ensures energy efficiency.
The process involved connecting the Shelly Dimmer to the bathroom lights and the Shelly 1 to the fan. I used a door sensor to trigger the automation. Initially, I faced some challenges with the initial setup, but with the help of online guides and the community forum, I was able to overcome them.
One of the key lessons I learned was the importance of proper placement of sensors and devices to ensure reliable communication. I also discovered the versatility of Shelly devices in handling multiple tasks, which made this project both enjoyable and rewarding.
I would love to hear from others who have implemented similar automation projects. What challenges did you face, and what innovative solutions did you come up with? Let’s continue to inspire each other and make our homes smarter together!
