It’s been a journey of learning, troubleshooting, and finally, the joy of seeing everything work seamlessly. Challenges Faced I started with a Raspberry Pi 4, HassOS 6.6, and an Aeotec Z-Stick Gen5+. Everything seemed correctly installed, but discovering devices was proving elusive. I tested with Aeon Labs MultiSensors, but the system didn’t detect them. Under Supervisor, Z-Wave JS to MQTT detected the stick and pinged it successfully, but adding devices was a hurdle. The Breakthrough After some research and community support, I realized the issue was with the network configuration. Ensuring the Z-Wave controller was in inclusion mode and the devices were within range was crucial. Once I got the settings right, the devices were discovered without any issues. Tips for Others - Network Configuration: Double-check your Z-Wave settings. A minor tweak can make a significant difference. - Range and Placement: Ensure your devices are within optimal range.
