I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation, and I’m thrilled to share my recent success with Shelly devices. My goal was to create a scene where the Shelly H&T Gen3 would monitor humidity levels and automatically control the Shelly PlugS Gen3 when conditions fall below 35%. Here’s my journey and what I learned along the way.
Initially, I set up the scene with the Shelly H&T as the trigger, aiming to switch the PlugS on for an hour when humidity drops below 35%. Despite multiple attempts, it wasn’t working as expected. Frustration set in, but I refused to give up.
After some research and trial and error, I discovered that changing the trigger from “on every change” to “repeated” made all the difference. The PlugS now reliably turns on for 1 minute whenever the humidity threshold is met. It’s a simple yet effective solution that adds a layer of convenience to my home’s environment control.
This experience taught me the importance of experimenting with different settings and not being afraid to tweak configurations. The Shelly ecosystem’s flexibility and the supportive community have been invaluable in my smart home journey.
I’m excited to explore more possibilities with my Shelly devices and continue enhancing my smart home setup. If anyone has tips or tricks for optimizing these devices, I’d love to hear them!
