Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent success with automating my old AC unit using Sensibo. For those who might not know, my AC’s auto mode isn’t the most reliable, so I decided to take matters into my own hands.
I set up a rule in Sensibo to switch the AC to fan mode when the temperature drops too low and then back to cool mode once it warms up again. The idea was to prevent the room from getting too chilly while still keeping it comfortable. Here’s how the rule looks:
Initially, I faced a bit of a hiccup. The ‘Wait’ function wasn’t scheduling as expected, so the AC wouldn’t switch back to cool mode automatically. After some troubleshooting, I realized that the temperature updates were a bit delayed, which threw off the timing. However, once I adjusted the thresholds and gave it a little more time, everything started working smoothly!
This setup has been a game-changer for me. It not only prevents the room from getting too cold but also ensures that the AC operates efficiently. Plus, it’s been a great learning experience in terms of understanding how automation rules work in Sensibo.
