Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent success with setting up an automation for my Zigbee Aqara curtains using an Aqara button. At first, I was a bit stuck trying to figure out how to toggle the curtains open and close with a single press. I had some confusion about how the ‘if then’ option worked and whether it was suitable for my setup.
After some research and trial and error, I finally got it working! Here’s what I did: I set up a condition to check the current state of the curtains. If they’re open, the automation triggers a script to close them, and if they’re closed, it opens them. The key was ensuring the script correctly addressed both left and right curtains.
I also learned the importance of testing each part of the automation separately before putting it all together. It was a bit frustrating at first, but now it works seamlessly.
