Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience with connecting my Google Nest WiFi to a new modem after upgrading my broadband speed. I recently upgraded from 1Gbps to 3Gbps, and my ISP replaced my old modem with a new one. Unfortunately, my Google Nest WiFi, which I purchased in December 2022, couldn’t connect to the new modem. I tried resetting the Nest router multiple times and even used a spare TP-Link router as an intermediary, but the mesh network wouldn’t work properly. After some research and troubleshooting, I discovered that the issue was related to the new modem’s 10Gbps port. I reached out to Google support, and they suggested updating the Nest router’s firmware. Once I did that, everything worked perfectly! I’m now enjoying my faster internet speeds with a fully functional mesh network. If anyone else is having similar issues, I recommend checking for firmware updates and ensuring your router is compatible with your modem’s ports. Happy networking!
