Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with setting up Wyze cameras across different devices. I recently ran into an issue where my Wyze cameras wouldn’t load on my Samsung S10 (Android 9), even though they worked perfectly on my Samsung S5e tablet, which runs the same OS. This was quite puzzling, especially since the app and cameras were functioning just fine earlier in the week.
I tried the usual troubleshooting steps: uninstalling and reinstalling the app, clearing the app data, restarting the phone, and even connecting through a VPN. Nothing seemed to work. The cameras just hung on step 1 or 2 and eventually showed a connection failure error.
After some research, I discovered that the issue might be related to how the Wyze app handles device-specific configurations. To resolve this, I decided to factory reset the cameras and re-add them to my account. Surprisingly, this worked like a charm! The cameras now load seamlessly on both my S10 and S5e.
I thought I’d share this solution in case anyone else is experiencing similar issues. Sometimes, a fresh start is all you need. If you’ve tried everything else without success, give this a shot—it might just be the fix you’re looking for!
Happy smart home setup everyone! ![]()
